THE ROSETTA STONE: THE ULTIMATE SMOKE SCREEN

In 1822, a French  language specialist in Oriental languages named Jean François Champollion, deciphered the Rosetta Stone. The stone was a partial portion of inscribed block of black granite-type stone, with the text of a decree. from the Greek period in Ancient Egypt.  Champollion’s deciphering of the stone allowed Egyptologists to  finally be able to translate much of the hieroglyphs, and as a result learn more about Ancient Egypt. At least that’s the accepted belief that is accepted by Academia. The reality is the opposite. Since the Rosetta Stone ended up serving as a very effective smoke screen.

The stone has revealed some, just not all, or even the most of the important information that the Ancient Egyptians recorded. The chief reason was the blinders-like focus on the hieroglyph after Champollion’s decipherment. have all but excluded the other means that the Ancient Egyptians used to record their beliefs and other information.

The hieroglyphs and the cursive writing systems that they spawned, known as Hieratic writing and Demotic script,  were never meant to be stand alone texts to describe everything about Egyptian society. Also important is the fact that the earliest hieroglyphs.contained mostly ideograms that independently represented ideas and concepts. And it was these that the Ancient Egyptian deities expressed particularly well.

The Ancient Egyptians  also used their temple and tomb paintings, amulets, jewelry and even some everyday items to record information about their beliefs. And they made an even greater and more purposeful use of the large pantheon of gods that they created, to specifically  ell what is perhaps the most important story to human beings.  I’ll get to this is a minute

The fact that  the Egyptian populace were encouraged to worship these gods, in a religious based belief system, was simply because it was advantageous to the Temple Priests and the pharaohs to have a powerful distraction that would bind society together. One that. would also and keep the people loyal to the pharaohs and the other elites in society. The lives of the Egyptian populace were governed by what they were told the Gods wanted.

Some Egyptologists had in fact raised serious concerns  while Champollion was alive and long after he died., disputing the accuracy of his deciphering of  the hieroglyphs.

Despite some initial concerns, Champollion’s work was eventually accepted by scholars  which lead to Champollion’s work to be widely accepted. And worse allowing the focus to be placed firmly on the hieroglyphs as the means to decipher all of Egyptian history.

WHAT DOES THE ROSETTA STONE SAY?

If you were thinking that the translation of the Rosetta Stone revealed some important and profound Egyptian secrets reaching across the centuries, prepare to be very disappointed. The text of the Rosetta Stone  deals with a fairly banal piece of Greek Egyptian administrative affairs. It is a copy of a decree that was passed in 196 BCE by a council of Egyptian priests to celebrate the anniversary of the coronation of Ptolemy V as king of Egypt. The Ptolemys were a Greek-speaking dynasty that occupied the Egyptian throne for over three centuries beginning in the 4th century BC

The text on the stone is largely propaganda describing the king’s accomplishments and his good and noble deeds such as cutting taxes and making gifts to the temples. And in return the temple priests agreed to take certain actions, that would serve to bolster the cult of the King. (Cults were very important to Egyptians rulers even before the time of the Greeks) The decree on the Rosetta stone was done in three different writing systems, each its own, yet identical (presumably) version  of the same text. It was inscribed in hieroglyphs, Demotic Script and in Greek. This that allowed for a comparative transliteration of each word that then deciphered the hieroglyph. meanings .

So far so good. except for some very important and seemingly over looked details.

HIERATIC WRITING & DEMOTIC SCRIPT

Demotic script on the Rosetta Stone was the Ancient Egyptian’s cursive hand writing that had itself evolved from an earlier cursive form of writing called Hieratic writing.  The Hieratic style of writing evolved directly from of the hieroglyphs and followed them much more closely than Demotic. Hieratic was developed in Egypt’s prehistory during what is called th Naqada period, which was approximately between 3200 - 3000 BC.

Hieratic writing was the preferred means of recording religious text and remained so all the way down to the age of the Ptolemys. Demotic Script for its part  came into use early in the 7th century BC and was mainly used for business and literary documents. Demotic Script began to be replaced by Greek starting in the 4th century BC. And by the end of the 3rd century, Koine Greek had become the administrative  language of Egypt.

So with the separation that existed between religious texts and other documents, it is reasonable to assume that there would naturally have been some discrepancies when Demotic script  was being developed from Hieratic writing.

Another detail that I discovered in my research about the Rosetta stone, was that the Greeks  as a whole, (There would of course been some exceptions) did not learn to Hieratic and so did not understand it. This means that it was left up to the Temple Priests of native origins, who had the secreted knowledge that was placed in the Hieratic scripts, as to how much they chose to disclose to their Greek rulers.

That said, Egypt’s Greek rulers did of course know of some details about the secreted knowledge, of the Temple priests. And an important part of that knowledge concerned the story of the snake. This is obvious from the knowledge that the Greeks displayed, and in the creation of their own pantheon of deities and most notably the Caduceus (the staff of the Greek God Hermes) and the rod of Asclepius.

All of this brings me back to my previous statement, that the Rosetta Stone’s translation comes with some very important overlooked details. The important story that I mentioned earlier, is the one that I’ve called ‘The Story of The Snake. And it’s about the potential for a  life changing catastrophe at the end of the roughly 26,000 year period of precession. The snake represents a Coronal mass Ejection and was represented by the rearing cobra (the Uraeus) in Ancient Egypt. The snake while obviously the center of the story, is only one part of a series of events that would make it truly catastrophic to humans and the Earth.

The Rosetta Stone’s translation and the focus thats been placed on its translation, comes with some very important overlooked details. The important story that I mentioned earlier; the Story of The Snake at the center of which is the rearing cobra or Uraeus. And it deals with Precession, CMEs and potential disaster.for Earth and humanity.
