Mastery Cannot be Attained From Smallness
One of The Oxford definition of smallness describes it as; The quality of being insignificant or weak. Many Spiritual Seekers labor under the mistaken belief that they are small. While it is understandable how we as humans would feel small and vulnerable in the grand scheme of life, we are anything but small. At this present time, more than ever, we as spiritual seekers need to rise above the constraints of our imagined smallness. We do not have the luxury of waiting our entire lives to perhaps regain our power through slow or uncertain enlightenment. We have to step up to our power now. The Spiritual Path is a hiding place for many. It has become a place to spend time without the need to actually accomplish a goal, or else to do so without the need for any particular time line. It is a place to enjoy a little bliss if we meditate just right and hopefully share the feel good feelings with those of like minds as ourselves.
A path suggests a starting point , a middle and at some stage a destination. In reality The Spiritual Path begins and ends in the same exact place, the self. For some Spiritual seekers, confusion exists because of the mistaken belief that you must begin from what is imagined to be an imperfect self or state, and then with time and effort, pieces of the imperfection are removed and replaced with little pieces of perfection until a new perfect, or almost perfect self emerges. I want you to know that illusion does not give up on you just because you are on “The Path.” Illusion never rests on it’s laurels. It is always looking for ways to bring you back into the fold; into the state of deep unconscious sleep which it prefers.
Illusion lulls you into resting as long as possible on your path without actually getting any point further than a feeling of being more awake than you previously were. This encourages you to believe that you are therefore on the right track to some enigmatic state. All the while letting you believe that you must search diligently to find something that you are unlikely to achieve since you have been told that it is really really difficult to get there, and you would need to be a saint. The longer it takes for you to enter into this state, which is none other than your real self, the better. The better that is for those who benefit from Humanity's Group Mind Illusion.
To be Fair, since it is your lack of knowledge that keeps you trapped in the Group Mind of smallness and limitation, there is no thing or outside power that is to blame for Humanity's Woes. However it is true that there has been a concerted effort by certain groups of humanssince the beginning of our history, who have done whatever they needed to do to keep the mass of Humanity thinking that they are weak powerless beings. Maybe some of these humans knew the truth themselves, though I would be willing to bet that most did not
This master lie ofillusion of being powerless, is the most effective and the most damaging for anyone who seeks truth and their escape from the Group Mind. This is the lie that with it’s numerous tentacles, keeps humanity bound in chains. of fear and smallness. From the point of view of being a Spiritual Seeker, the illusion a path allows some to declare that they have arrived at the glorious destination when in reality they too are simply marching in place. The way for Spiritual Seekers to arrive at the destination is to believe that they are already perfect and powerful Spiritual Beings. The Parable of the Eagle and the Chickens, pillustrates the point that I am making. While there are many versions online, I believe this one closely resembles the original. that I came across more than a decade ago.
The Parable of the Eagle: Once upon a time, while walking through the forest, a certain man found a young eagle. He took it home and put it in his barnyard where it soon learned to eat chicken feed and to behave as chickens behave. One day, a naturalist came to the chicken farm to see if what he had heard about an eagle acting like a chicken was really true. He knew that an eagle is The King of the sky. To his surprise, he saw the eagle strutting around the chicken coop, pecking at the ground, and acting very much like a chicken. The farmer explained to the naturalist that this bird was no longer an eagle. That he was now a chicken because he had been trained to be a chicken and he believed that he was a chicken.
“Since I have given it chicken feed and trained it to be a chicken, it has never learned to fly.” replied the owner. “It behaves as chickens behave, so it is no longer an eagle.”
“Still,” insisted the naturalist, “it has the heart of an eagle and can surely be taught to fly.” After talking it over, the two men agreed to find out whether this was possible. Gently, the naturalist took the eagle in his arms and said, “You belong to the sky and not to the earth. So stretch your wings and fly.”
The eagle, however, was confused; since he did not know who he was, and seeing his fellow chickens eating their feed, he jumped down to be with them again.
More determined than ever, the next day the naturalist took the eagle, up on the roof of the house and urged him again, “You are an eagle. Stretch your wings and fly.” But the eagle was afraid of his unknown self and world. So he jumped down once more for the chicken feed. On the third day, the naturalist rose early and took the eagle out of the barnyard to a high mountain. There, he held the king of birds high above him and encouraged him again, saying, “You are an eagle. You belong to the sky, not to the earth. Unfold your wings now, and fly.”
The eagle looked around, back toward the barnyard and up to the sky, trying to make sense of what the naturalist was telling him. Still he did not fly. Then the naturalist lifted the eagle straight up toward the sun, which seemed to be beckoning to him. This time the eagle straightened his body. Stretched slowly, then he unfurled his beautiful and massive wing span and with a triumphant cry, soared up into the heavens. In that moment, he became what he always was; an eagle
Just like the eagle, people who have been trained to think of themselves as less than they really are, can reclaim the glorious truth of their true selves . They can become all that Source intended for them to be. Once you grasp and internalize the truth that you are already powerful and perfect, then you must set about with tenacity to find out how to live from this state of perfection. and then do it. Yes there will still be things that you will need to learn, and beliefs to overcome. There will also still be times that you will err, however the so-called path will be smoother and easier to navigate. Learning will be easier. Your intuition will become available to you. and you will recognize more quickly when illusion is trying to set new traps to re-bind you. As you grow in using your inherent power, you will accomplish more with greater ease. There is no comparison to living from this place of power, as opposed to living from smallness hoping to gain power.
You are already The Sun, The Moon and the stars. The saying “You are Stardust,” is no idle homily. Humanity is the result of conscious creation. Inside of you is the same consciousness that creates and directs universes. You are Pure Consciousness creating units of itself that it has willed into being. In the Spiritual Community I have heard the majority of teachers say, in print or in words, explanations which place a separation between humans and their Source. Well guess what, there is no such condition. You are The Source, God or whatever else you prefer to call the Primal Creative Force. You are Pure Consciousness And you can only enter into this incredible power when you know and believe this astonishing truth.
True this is the conundrum to end all conundrums. How and why did Sourcedecide to live in human forms with all it's limitations?. You will not find the answer through fear or caution or even by just believing that this is so. You have to throw off illusions and it’s lies like the old ill-fitting garment that they are. Step out of them and walk away without looking back. Begin each day by becoming clear in your mind about who you really are: Create your own personal mantra for this state and use it repeatedly in silence as often as you have the opportunity to do so. No one need know what you are doing and even , when it brings a smile to your face as I’m sure that it will, you can keep it as your secret armor if you choose to. Exercise your will and take the effort it requires to do this until it is no longer an effort but just the way you think and see yourself. Be determined to live as your real self. Decree that each and every manifestation or hindrance that is not inline with your true self, is but a phantom of the past. A past that you have already let go of, so they must disappear when you are steadfast in your determination to manifest your highest self.
The whole point of doing this is so that quick progress is procured in leaps and bounds on your spiritual path. Again it is important to start at the end or your destination for the rapid changes that will empower you and in turn bring about even more and more success. See yourself as power and magnificence, and watch illusion disappear. It may try some of it’s old tricks to keep you bound, and as I stated before, even some new ones. However once you say a firm no to fear, confusion and limitations and you have fixed your sight on living from power, you all make the breakthroughs that you had not even dreamed of before.
Like the eagle, your determined and focused actions to see through the lies and illusions that had before kept you a prisoner not in charge of your own fate, is the equivalent of unfolding the magnificent wingspan that the creator has given you. Go ahead. Soar!.
